Dearest Loved Ones,
I write to you from the frozen front lines of Dallas, where the temperature has plunged to 20 degrees and the enemy advances as sleet, snow, and widespread panic. We have taken shelter beneath a mountain of blankets, huddled together around a single candle that now serves as both heat source and symbol of hope.
The wind howls outside, clearly aware of our dependence on central heating.
In these dark hours, I reflect on the life I have lived.
The friends I have known. The loved ones who shaped me.
And the foolish belief that Texans were built for winter.
Though the blizzard of 2026 threatens our morale, we cling to our faith, our God, and the belief that this light dusting will someday melt.
Should the power fail, I will don a second hoodie, a step i do not take lightly.
Our provisions remain steady for now. Bread, coffee, and an unreasnable amount of H-E-B tortilla chips.
The roads are slick. Schools have fallen.
If this letter reaches you, know that we fought bravely.
And if we survive, we will rebuild. Stronger. Warmer.
With better weather apps.
Please keep us in your prayers.
