What kind of pets do you have? We have an array of animals. We have 5 dogs (Sissy, Prometheus, Buster, Lilly, Puppy) 6 rats (Allie, Dot, Stripe, Mouse, The Twins) 2 doves (Snowflake, Tanflake) and a dragon (Poe). We have had parrots in the past, but at the moment don't have one. So we're looking for one that we can afford to buy without needing a damn loan from the bank. I’ve had hedgehogs in the past, and I’m really wanting to get another one.

For the breeds of the dogs, Prometheus is a Rottweiler. Sissy is a pitbull. Puppy is a pitweiller. Sissy is his mother and Prometheus is his father. Buster is a neurotic little yorkie. Lilly is a mini dachshund.

The rats are all just simple fancy's. All the dogs are purebreds except Puppy. He's the only mixed breed animal we have. I’ll try to get some good pics of everyone. They're a pain in the ass a lot, but I couldn't live without them.

Greetings from the midwest. My wife and I have three felines, and coming for Father's Day is a ginger ninja kitten rescue. :)

Are you familiar with Parrot Rescues? I have a friend with a lifelong friend of his own that came from a rescue. They live for so long that they outlive owners. There are so many available from what I understand.

I'm dead center of the country. I'm a Missourian. Lived here all my life except when I was in the military, and a very brief few months living in Denver.

We've looked for a rescue group to find a macaw, but either we're not looking in the right places, or we just haven't looked hard enough. The last macaw I had was a scarlet, that came from an abusive home. The people never gave her any attention. She never had toys. The only times she saw them is when they came to feed her. As a result, she plucked ferociously. Over 50% of her is permanently bald. She was so sweet and friendly. She even came walking across the house to find me one night. We bonded instantly when I saw her. I really loved her, but she got stolen, as did my conure. I had that conure from the time she was a hatchling. She hated anyone else and would fight them. But the thing that really pissed her off was video games. She would absolutely tear into my hands if I tried to play a game while she was out.

I can handle a macaw again, but I’ll never be able to have another conure. I have my doves though, and they really help with all the BS.

I live close to a city dump and people dump their unwanted animals there all the time. They wonder out looking for one thing or another but for several years I had around one feral cats have kittens around my place. I'd end up catching them or trapping them and taking to the local shelter. 3 years ago a feral bobtail cat had kittens for me to try and find a way to get rid of them. The shelter took them but I kept the mom as a mouser. The next year that feral bobtail had another batch of kittens before I could trap her and have her fixed. I ended up keeping her and one of her female kittens with the intent of having it fixed after I fixed the mom cat. I got mom fixed but before I could catch the other one, it had kittens. I got rid of her kittens and had her fixed. Well, last winter was a very cold one and they ended up coming in the house thru a doggie door we had for a pup we used to have until it passed. Long story short, mom and daughter have turned into loving pets. The younger one is a little skidish when walking around it but she loves to cuddle. They can go in and out whenever they please with the doggie door. The only problem is they bring me lots of 'presents' from the outside. The good thing, I no longer have mice, moles, or squirrels around my place. The bird population has suffered.
