Blow away the dust of long past time
together we will see what we can find
I'll take your injured hands here in mine
and we'll find what we can discover inside

Troubles from my time have made a hole
within the fragile construct of my soul
I have filled this void with things unseen
from all the roads of life where I have been

Now there are many bridges I have burned
but that's just how my whole experience has worked
the only thing that will save my broken heart
is the wonder of a new love from the start

Darkness is a strong thing don't you think
and it dominates the world I seek
you bring warm light here into my realm
around you all is quiet and eerily calm

You guide me with your fire
feeding my desires
I will give them up to you this time around
and so you know I'll be found
with my stake buried in the ground
marking the territory of
this newly impassioned man
