Yes it is easier said than done.
Words are powerful. They can be used to heal or they can be used to wound. They can be used to encourage and they can be used to tear down.
As speakers/writers, we should all choose our words carefully.
As hearers/readers we should realize/remember who it is speaking - is it the spirit of love in truth or the father of lies... and only believe true words spoken in love.

Well said. I have found that words also only have the power/emotion we assign to them, on their own they have nothing.
 
However, expressing emotion is good and healthy. If you have strong emotion reactions abnormally often, perhaps Therapy can address underlying issues.
