x-mass what's marry about it?

this is a question i have asked for a long time. i am having to teach myself to love x-mass again. it is not easy but one day i will not look at it with such hate.

just something i deal with every year.

I used to despise Christmas, but now as a grandfather to four grandchildren aged 20 months, 3 years, 4 years and five. I adore it as in their houses there is one thing that was lacking in my parents house ....... and that is undconditional love ...... and it is wonderful.

I can hardly add much to what Kirk has said so beautifully. A holiday is about sharing with others. When we feel alone and isolated these times just bring us more hurt. You are a good guy and I know you find your way past this.

I used to hate Christmas due to my perp getting drunk and assaulting me. I have dealt with that, and with him thanks to one very special person.

My fiancee agreed to marry me on Christmas day. We already discussed marrage but in fact she suggested it as it would give me a reason not to hate Christmas anymore.

At the end of the day its only a label. Another name for a day in a year in your life.

Try a change of scene, I can recommend a nice beach in thailand that helped me escape a couple of years running when I was feeling really low.
