Reading the posts in the survivors section is becoming a judgement sentence... God, how could I have said those things????

God forgive me, I used those words on him. I was hurt and I was angry.

I said "Be a Man, and speak to me!"

I said "Well that excuse isn't good enough"

I teased him about an involuntary erection.

Some "friend" I am. I didn't know.

God forgive me... I am dirt :(

No you are not dirt. It is hard to understand how we feel and what our emotions are. You are a good friend. Finish the Guardian and add a letter that now you have a greater understanding of what SA does to a man.

It is people like you that we all need.

Mike

Hi,

Mike is right. This is a well hidden issues and we are all trained to respond in predictable ways.

I have learned from this to keep eyes open, do not assume, and try and balance needs of two people: his and mine.

It still does not work all the time. I keep trying.

I think that is all you can do. Go easy.

Freedom.

I didn't know.
That bit makes some sense, and how could you know ?

We're all learning here, and as we learn about ourselves we pluck up the courage to share it with someone. But if that person isn't a professional then they can only act on what they know and learn.

Don't be hard on yourself, don't become a victim.
And learn to forgive yourself as well as others.

You guys sound so much more like heal"ers", than the heal"ees" :)

Thanks for the insight... I continue to learn...
