Will you be attending the NOMSV Conference this month?
Just a friendly reminder....
NOMSV's 9th International Conference:
"Healing the Sexual Victimization of Boys and Men"
will be held this October 25 thru 28, at John Jay College of Crimminal Justice in midtown, New York City, this is just a few weeks away. Many workshops are just about full so if you were thinking of attending please register soon.
Remember you can attend the full conference or just come for a day trip. You can register on-line, just click on "Conference Program and Registaration" on the NOMSV home page and follow the links. You can also view all the workshops (and a brief description)on-line...check it out.
Hotels are now cheaper then previously posted so now is a great time to take advantage of this opportunity. There are discounted rates for students and some scholarship money is available as well.
Some people had asked if the conference would still take place due to the recent traggic events. The answer is YES...it seems especially important now as the issues of trauma and recovery are covered in many of the workshops.
I will be attending and presenting a workshop on Saturday afternoon covering Clergy Abuse.
I look forward to this conference and hope to meet some of you there.
