Cool runnings to all you guys this weekend.

Heat wave broke yesterday on the East coast and for the first time in I don't know when there's nothing on the list of things to do that can't be put off for a day so I'm going to chill as much as I can today. Maybe hit the shoreline 30 minutes from here.

Just might take the wife out on a date tonight to hear some live music by a friend of ours at a local restaurant. Just the two of us.

How about you guys? What's up for the weekend?

Paul

Hi Paul,

My wife and I have beat everyone to the weekend I guess. :D We went out last night to another village close to ours that we heard has a very nice Thai restaurant. We had a lovely dinner and evening out, just the two of us. It was great.

Much love,
Larry

Hi Paul,

And hello to all my friends here. Hope each of you have a great weekend.

Spent the day sleeping for the most part. Visited a community church that has a Saturday evening service a couple of blocks from our home this evening. Met some new friends as well of some of our neighbors there. Had a good time.

Tomorrow we are going to a good old county fair. Gonna stand in line at the Dairy Wives booth for an ice-cream cone and go stand at the back of the line while I eat it, then get another one! Gonna go look at the cows, sheep, goats, rabbits, chickens, pigs, and any other animals they have. Then we're gonna go listen to the traveling merchants hawk their wares in the commercial buildings. After that we might go look at the flowers and the quilts, and maybe the art exhibits. Then in the evening, we're gonna go do the fun stuff and ride the Ferris Wheel and the Octopus, and all the other rides. In short, We're gonna have a blast.

Lots of love,

John

Hi John,

Country fairs are the greatest aren't they? So much to do and you can just eat and eat and eat.

We have the 4H fair in town this weekend and next month it's the largest fair in Connecticut with three days of whatever you'd like. Food wise you can go from culture to culture and sample the world. Some serious music too. Last year Toby Keith was th headliner and we've had Fats Domino appear as well. Only problem is the whole town shuts down and traffic is just a mess.

Wish you all could join us. Have an ice cream cone (or two) at the Dairy Wives for me, OK?

Paul

Hey,

The fair was absolutely great! Had a marvelous time watching people. Spent quite a lot of time eating all the great stuff. Stood in line twice at the Dairy Wives Ice Cream booth. Once for an ice cream cone, and the second time for a fresh peach shake. Awesome! Ate me a huge elephant ear and pigged out on corn on the cob.

Watched some very talented (and I might add very good looking) girls ride their horses in the equestrian jumping event. Listened to Alice Cooper practice for his concert later. Sounded like he was doing pretty good for the old geezer that he is. Wandered around in the commercial buildings and bought a bunch of stuff we don't need including a magnetic bracelet that's supposed to help the pain in my right wrist and also doubles as a nice looking men's bracelet (imagine that). Went on a few rides, but it was too hot to enjoy the long lines and we didn't want to wait till evening when it was cooler.

Hell guys, the wife and I had more fun than we've had in a long time. Maybe we'll go back again next weekend. It's an 9 day event so we just may do that. Anyone want to come and join me? You'd be more than welcome.

Lots of love,

John
