Tonight our daughter (22) and three of her friends are here from NYC. One of her friends was actually on the subway near the World Trade Center when the first plane hit. She emerged into the sunlight only to see one of the buildings collapse. Consequently, there's a lot of processing going on here...which is a good thing.
It's been a long week, hasn't it? Yet there is so much to be grateful for, as these tragedies could have greater in terms of the number of human lives lost...yet so much sadness lingers in the air. And, of course, the biggest loss for us as Americans is the loss of innocence...
God love us all as we take baby steps to piece our lives together and move on....
