Vitamin B6 for vivid dreams

I've been having very vivid dreams for the last few months, many related to my CSA. I was wondering if this was because of my recent efforts to move past my CSA related issues. Consequently I looked up "vivid dreams" and found this information about vitamin B6. Coincidently I began taking 100mg of B6 daily at the recommendation of one of my orthopedic doctors at about the same time. Has anyone else any experience with B6 and vivid dreams.

For as long as I can remember I never had any recollection of my dreams. I always told people I didn't dream. I realise that's probably not the case but I have a weird sense of humour. I can probably count on one hand the number of times I been able to recall a dream after I woke up. The past month or so I have recalled dreams almost every day when I wake up. This also happened, briefly, a couple years ago when I started getting into some emotional work. I'm not taking B6 but I thought I'd contribute anyway, I think it has something to do with whatever my mind is doing to repress things. I've been in denial about a few aspects of my life and whenever I start to chip away at that, all of a sudden I have dreams. It scared the shit out of me the first time and I stopped the work I was doing. I'm not going to stop this time, maybe I'll try some B6 and see what happens...

Thanks for the input @thelastwolfman
All my life I was like you in that I rarely recalled any dreams. Also when I started working on my issues I noticed a very occasional dream. After starting the B6 I have had numerous occasions where I recall very vivid dreams including one last night about working at a place from my past. I don't know if it's related but I've also had a number of daytime flashbacks. Let us know if you have any success with the B6.

Google says:
Several studies⁹ have also discovered that vitamin B6 aids sleep and impacts dreams. Before taking any supplements, including vitamin B6, you should consult your doctor. An excessive amount of B6 in the body can be harmful and cause sleeplessness.Aug 25, 2022

Thanks for this @Jack1 , I'm going to get some and try this. I don't remember any of my dreams either.

I never heard that B6, I use to work over seas, it the worst areas, I was required to amoxicillin daily but I remember in the military they said if have you vivid dreams, the doc warned of the dreams said it better then catching, cholera, diarrhoea, dysentery, hepatitis A, typhoid and polio, even with being vax. The fear was bad dreams about the work done, considering sleep was not always easy to come buy. I would find my self trying to think about everything but the present, and as I drifted the vivid past that I kept buried often made it way to the surface in ways, probably only survivors comprehend.

I find that taking it shortly before bedtime works the best.

oh my mistake, you are wanting to have / recall the dreams. Taking the anti biotic has a bad side effect of lucid nightmares written in the prescription warnings.

I had another vivid dream last night. Driving on a road in the forest, being in a large building, the police investigating something.
It seems odd in a way that I remember more dreams in the past month than I did in the past 10 years.

In had another short but vivid dream last night. I was in a room with a group of boys and we were like the French Resistance, We were all talking and someone said we had to promise to keep everything secret and if even one person told we would all get caught. Then I woke up.

More dreams last night. I was in a courtroom. I’m not sure what was going on. Suddenly there was violent shaking, like an earthquake, that went on for a good bit. After the shaking went on for a while I went outside and the shaking stopped.

I'm currently on B6 and NAD+ injections specifically for 'brain fog'. I've noticed they don't seem to do much for brain fog, but they have massively improved my memory recall. It's very noticeable So, if you are having vivid dreams, it could be the result of the memory improvement aspect.

I've never tried NAD+ but I recently ordered NMN supplements after hearing the benefits they provide by increasing NAD+ in the body. I ordered them for their antioxidant, anti-aging and anti-cancer benefits. Interesting that they help with memory.

my T told me to keep pen and paper next to the bed and write everything you can remember about the dreams
