Hello, I am new here. I had the site given to me about 2 yrs ago by a therapist I checked it out liked it and then forgot it existed for a time. I recently found the site again and I have signed up for one of the weekend retreats. I am looking forward to it and I am hoping that as I travel down my road to recovery I find some answers to questions I have. I have been working through workbooks and stuff mainly on my own as the therapist I had seemed to want to put her personal opinions in on everything and it made me feel uncomfortable about it all. I am just rambling now. I just wanted to say Hi.

Hi Friend,

Glad you re-found us! I hope you find what you are looking for here. There's a bunch of great guys here who will support you and believe you. They'll allow you and encourage you to say what you need to say and ask for what you need.

Welcome to the journey. You're no longer alone!

Lots of love,

John

Thanks I have felt so alone and isolated most of my life and I have been the so-called "lonewolf" for so long but I realized this is something I can not face without support.

Well, there is support in abundance here. Take your time. Read the threads, ask questions, post your story in the story forum, do it all, but only as you feel able to do so.

You probably know by now that this thing called recovery doesn't happen in a few days or even in a few weeks, but is a life-long journey we embark on that takes us to better places. We go from the bottom of the pit to the top of the mountain and we can actually have fun and enjoy our life along the way, but we also need to do the work and fight the good fight in order to have those good times.

Happy Trails, My Friend. (terrible pun I know)

Lots of love,

John

Oh, and I forgot to add that the good thing about it is that we get to make this journey in the company of other great folk who know and understand what we've been through.

:)

Carritus,

Welcome back to the site, and I'm glad you decided to give it a try. You are so right; it really doesn't work too well trying to recovery from CSA on your own. You'll find a great bunch of guys here who will understand and support you. Just take your time and get used to the place at your own pace. It's good to have you with us.

Much love,
Larry

Hi -- and welcome. I looked at this site about three years before my first post and am still getting into the swing of things. I am glad you found it because it can be an amazing resource and it is always there. It has helped me through confusing times, and helped me sustain the good times that come with recovery. I hope it does the same for you. Welcome again.

best, Jonathon
