Happy B-day, and many more...

Thanks guys. I appreciate it. :) :D :) :)

But it is amazing how even a Birthday can cause a trigger.

There is one member of the church that has made it his mission to call every member of the church on their Birthday, Aniversary, etc. to wish them a happy ________.

I know that Ike meant well .... but for some reason it was upsetting. It would have meant more to me if he had called me and said that he had missed seeing me in church. I left the church in September .... and NO One has called me to say that they miss me. :( :(

I guess when it comes from a friend it means more. You people are my friends

:) :)

Thanks,

John

John:

Empathizing with you about the birthday trigger bit. My birthday is mid-October, and for years my "holiday season blues" have basically begun then. Until the last 2 years, they've begun 9-11.
:(
Ike is an example of how people fall into routines even in their "good deeds" and don't show consideration, intentionally or not, for the individual. Becuz people don't take time to know individuals. Even in church.

So unfortunately when someone is missing from a church, they may not be missed--again, intentionally or not--in a place where they particularly should be missed, & reached out to.

Keep remembering you have friends here, friend.
:)
