One month later...

Here I am, sitting on the PC typing a new thread into the MS website and noting I've hit a couple of milestones here.

  • I've been on the site for one month.
  • I've reached my hundreth post.
These have been no small accomplishments and I've have met the MOST supportive guys that I've ever met in my life.

In a society that equates masculinity with self-sufficiency(sp?) and emotional isolation, I have found men and an evironment strong enough to embrace strangers and withstand negative societal constructs in order to heal and nurture others of our own.

I have seen young men and old, smash the artificial barriers of ageist discrimination in order to learn FROM ONE ANOTHER.

I have been a part of discussions that allow TRULY constructive criticism and open dialogue and most important; unantagonistic disagreement on matters of race, religion, sexual orientation, disability and gender.

I have finally found what TEAMWORK really is.

I'm proud of ALL of us. We've each got a long way to go... together we WILL make it.

Special thanks to the founders of this organization, the BOD and the moderators for keeping us safe.

If you are just new to the site and are reading this post, please come back! You are not alone, you are loved and can love without the crap that can be attached by bad learning and we will help each other get there, one link at a time!

Special, special thanks to Waumei, Tallsteve ;) , Sick Puppy, Nathan, Al, Marc, MrDon, Lloydy, TheDean, ksinger, jimrh, MikeChurch, Michaelb, brian-z, the 'electrical' blueelectron9, ScottyTodd, mrsunshineguy, Don-NY, wanderer (where have u been?), jonathankhonsu, kleinerspatz, ivanhoe and James! I hope I didn't forget anyone that has helped me with some of my problems and given me encouragement through their own posts. As you can see, there is a lot of support here. :D

My only hope is to give back as good as I get!

Still here to continue the struggle,

Marc

Marc,
Dont worry with your kindness, openness, and compasion you have for each one of your brother you give lots more that you take. I know you have given lots to me, even on the post I dont reply too I still get something out of it. I agree I have found the most supportive group of men I've ever meet. I didnt know it was ok for men to show that they care or that it is ok for men to cry for someone else's pain. Thanks Marc for starting this tread. I also want to say thank you to everyone. And tell anyone that may be new that is reading this, please come back even if it's just to read what we are saying. This is the BEST place on the net for us.
(((((((((((for my brother's))))))))))))))

Support goes round in circles, and we all support each other.

The circle gets bigger and stronger each day.
