Three articles in today's newspaper...

In the Orange County Register, our county newspaper. The front page has story on a local Dana Point priest and three other priests at the same parish molesting boys.
In the Local section page 4 is story about a 32 year old man arrested for orally copulating a child. Third story is about a local 37 year old man who raped his teenage daughter.

There was a story on the Baltimore TV news...last night... about a Ped not being able to find help to stop raping boys...in the state of Maryland. The story also pointed out where there is no help in the state of Maryland for male survivors of rape...which they said was the main maker of Peds!!! People are starting to be imformed about Male SA!

..."there is no help in the state of Maryland for male survivors of rape...which they said was the main maker of Peds!!!"

That phrase in a newspaper just keeps men from coming forward and talking about the SA that happened to them. The fear of telling someone that I was abused and having them think that I'm an abuser is just devastating to me. There was a talk given by a therapist that treats perps that stated over 85% of the perps SAID they had been victims of childhood SA, but when asked about it with a lie detector the actual figure was about 43%. Over half of the perps lied about it, big surprise there, huh? He said that perps know to say that they were abused as an excuse for the SA that they do to others.

There are 12 to 20 percent of the male population that have been sexually abused (per the FBI statistics) but the perps are only a small fraction of one percent. When male survivors speak out and tell of the crap that happened to them when they were young they shouldn't have to fear that a short sighted ill informed public would think automatically that they were an offender too. In this therapists talk of the behaviours of offenders a lot of the behaviours were similar to those of suvivors with the exception that the vast majority of the survivors only victimize themselves not others. With support from fellow survivors maybe we can all learn that we don't have to become victims of our own past and we can continue to grow into the men we want to be.

There, I've had my rant. Any comments?

The obvious has got to be stated. What are we,automatons? Monkey see monkey do? If my father liked to torture kittens must I do so also? I have a solution for guys who "can't help themselves stop raping boys". Blow their fuckin brains out with a .44 magnum and let God sort out the details. Send their fuckin mothers a bill for the bullets. I got zilch sympathy for punkassed bitches. If you've done wrong in the past, that can be worked with. You keep on doing it and see what happens.
