To all US suvivors and anyone else for that matter:

What are President Bushes Views on CSA what new policies has he brought in?

I am seriously thinking of writing to President Bush because of his conservative views as Tony Blair listens to him more than Blair listens to us in the UK, especially those members of the public who happen to be Male Survivors.

Cheers
Kirk

Kirk,

I take the lack of responses to this question to mean that no one knows. My own guess is that this administration has no policy concerning us. Or at least, I have not seen or heard anything.

Kirk, without resorting to French, the short answer is, dont even bother.
Compulsive liars have a tendencey to have an answer to everything,

No answer,

This is just an idea forming in my mind.

Having written to Blair, Clarke and having a meeting with David Blunkett where I passed him a letter with regard CSA and meeting our local conservative MP at his surgery. I have had no decent replies from any of them just acknowledgements from Blairs office.

Through Jonathan Kings prosecution and conviction I have a limited number of contacts in the press and call me niaeve but Im hoping to generate some interest through writing to George Bush where hopefully some of the nationals may pick up on it.

As I have said Bush appears to have Blairs ear, thank heaven its not Charles Clarkes.

CSA is all over the place again in the UK press and no one seems to be the slightest bit interested in the effects CSA can have on the individual and on society in general.

Politicians hate being embarressed.

Kirk - everytime I see something inappropriate in the UK press now, I e-mail them and tell them.

This is usually if they do not give enough prominance to stories that deserve it, i.e. they bury something about paedophilia just before all of the advertisements at the back of the paper; whilst rabbiting on about some celebrity getting fat / changing their hairstyle / shagging another celebrity when their new book/film is coming out.

I've had both positive and indifferent reactions - keep kicking them, eventually they'll get sick of the bruises and take notice.

Best wishes ...Rik

i have no idea what his views are. but common sense tells me that he probably thinks its terrible and tragic, as any human probably should. but i dont know that his views on it really matter all that much. if there is some specific law you were wondering about, then his views might play a role. although if you want laws changed you might be better advised to look into your own state laws first.

personally i think there should be much longer prison sentences for child molesters. its really sad that you would spend more time in prison for stealing a car than for abusing a child. and i highly doubt the guy whose car you stole would be in therapy 30 years later.
