The perpetrator is dead
I just discovered that the man who sexually abused and raped me is dead and I only just discovered it.
Omitted from the remembrance was that he was also a dormitory master at St Vincents Boy's Home at Westmead, NSW in Australia which is notorious for sexual abusers preying on the boys in their care. I don't know if I was the only boy he raped, but I can't imagine I am.
Is this a safe space where we can name our perpetrators?
