Well, I'm sitting here, taking deep breaths, hoping for the best.

Late Wednesday afternoon, I finally got the final draft of the letter that my attorney is sending to the Presbyterian Church. It states the facts of the case, and what we are seeking as restitution for the damages. Right now we are not seeking to impose a huge financial burden on the church. Just to have the church pay for my therapy and meds. We also are asking for the church to provide me with an affordable health insurance policy ... since my health insurance is being canceled because of the Psychological expenses and I can't get affordable health insurance ($565/month) is the cheepest I can find and it doesn't cover Psychological expenses. There are also some non-monitary things that we are asking the church to do, namely to implement a program to insure that no other child or young adult will ever have to suffer through the hell that we all are in due to our S A's

My attorney sent the letter to the church certified. Like I said it went out in Wednesday's mail. Now is is just a matter of waiting to see how the church responds. I am expecting that something should happen by the middle of next week.

Just wanted to let everybody know what was going on. I'm hoping for the best ...... but my attorney has warned me that the church could continue thier shitty attitude and continue to thumb thier nose ( actually give me the middle finger) at me. I know it is going to be a tough battle ..... but I think for the healing to begin ... I need to know that I did everything I could do to get the matter resolved.

Good luck to everyone else in their struggle.

John, I'm glad to hear from you again, and glad that at least a letter has been sent and the ball is now in their court. Hopefully this won't have to go to court for a long draining war. What you're asking for, to me, sounds more than reasonable, and the least they could do. I am praying that they will do it, and more. Take care John & keep us posted as you're able. Above all know that you're doing what you can now, just as you did when you were being abused and thruout your life as a survivor.

I hope things go good and the church does the right thing for you. My thoughts are with you. Muldon.

Good for you. Took me a while to figure out what response was evoked in me - respect.

Please let us know how it works out.

John,

I hope you hear soon and with good result from the church. I am proud of what you are doing and the responsible way you are doing it.
