This is new on video/DVD today so I'm posting this warning for everyone.

This movie is all about traumas, childhood traumas to be exact, and it includes CSA.

The movie is tightly edited for maximum startle value so it is very intense, even though I don't recall it getting very graphic regarding any of the traumas. It's some time since I saw it in the theater.

Now if you think you can watch this, the movie has some rather interesting theories about trauma and memory loss/recovery, in spite of itself.

I'll talk about those another time but just wanted to warn you all about watching this.

Our local Blockbuster has had empty slots set aside for this movie for several days now. They have made a pretty big deal about this, "Coming Soon," event.

I still haven't seen, "Mystic River."

I liked what I saw of butterfly effect, although the CSA kind of hit me hard.
Haven't worked up the nerve to watch Mystic River.

Thanks for the warning. I want to see Butterfly Effect because I love alternate timeline stuff, now I'll just make sure I'm in a happy place when I do.

Mystic River was really good, but it kinda kicked my ass emotionally so be prepared if you're going to see it.

But who or what band are featured on the trailer of this film?

I have the composers name for the actual soundtrack..........but that is not the one I'm after.

I think I'm showing my age asking this :cool:

haven't watched butterfly effect, but I have watched Mystic river, it is a powerful movie.

I think we must have a look at this stuff if we can, even just to put it into perspective.
It had me in tears, but emotionally, I think it did me a lot of good. I saw it just before I found this place, maybe it mystically took me here, I don't know.

It certainly triggered some memories, and had me in tears in parts, but I would definitely watch it again
