Hey, guys,

Just wanted to thank everyone for the help you've given me always, but particularly the last few days.

I went through hell again, which isn't to say it was as bad as when I first came here. But it was the type of hurt that could've broken me. I literally saw myself heading toward disaster. Worse still, I didn't care either. I would've been willing to sttle for becoming an alcoholic, junkie, whatever. Anything to escape.

You guys changed that.

Anyone who has lost hope, don't. There is hope after all. Let yourself be helped. The greatest thing we've done was to come here and admit to the hurt we've had inflicted on us. The most courageous thing we've done was reach out for help. Don't be afraid to do that as many times as you need to. And don't be afraid to reach out to someone who needs you too. You may be the difference between life and death. I mean this literally.

Thank you again, my brothers. I would be nothing without you!

Hey, Scot,

I probably owe you an apology. When I PM'd you about your incredible poetry, I hope that you didn't think that you were making my life miserable. Quite the contrary. Your writing is truly gifted. God, the thought of losing that, here, shakes me to the core. Scot, if you haven't been writing and collecting that in some kind of file for publication, I hope that you will consider that.
Your posts to the other brothers is inspired..please know that.
I can understand your insight and creativity and I know the fear that can come with that sensitivity....you take care and get the therapy you need in order to stay with us, me, for a long, long time.

I do not know that I am deserving of thanks, but I wished to respond here.

I read a quote somewhere, of 'to the world you are just one person, but to one person you may be the world'. It is maybe not same as what you are saying. But everyone who says anything here, there may well be someone who comes here desperate for help, and those are exact words that they need to know. To be here, it helps not just us, but others also.

I wish you well, thank you for what you offer here.

Thank you Scot for being here and posting as you do. This site is a great help to many, as are the great people that come here. Sadly we have all been through terrible experiences, but in a way it led to some good, it led to a "brotherhood" here on this site that none of us would have had otherwise. This site is a lifeline for many, and a great place to vent, we help you and you help us, and in helping and being helped, life moves forward, as do we.
