I am glad to be here with you.

I wanted to say that MaleSurvivor is the only place I know where I can communicate with other survivors. I am from Russia, and here I can not find any recources dedicated to support of male survivors of sexual child abuse. I have searched for such recources on the Internet for several times, and I did not find any counselor, therapy group, or workshop for sexual abuse survivors. That is why I often come to MS and communicate here with the other men.

I have got a few friends here who are nice and supportive people. One of them, Vernon, had advised me to write an a-mail to Mike Lew, and I has done this. Mike Lew has replied to me and said he would tell about me at the workshop that he conducts now. One man from his workshop was interested in corresponding to me, and we already exchange e-mails with him. He seems a good man, and he knows a lot about sexual child abuse and its effects on the male surviors.

I would like to thank all the people of MS whom I know and whom I don't know, and especially those who has given me good advice and supported me in hard times. As long as in my country there are no support programs for male survivors of sexual child abuse, this website continues to be my "outlet" and a major source of healing interactions. I hope that someday, I shall, with the help of survivors and those who care about them, be more educated about child sexual abuse and recovery from it.

I am so glad that Mike Lew got back to you, that is cool.
In some countries it is real hard to find a therapist or literature on the subject.

I too am glad that Mike Lew wrote back to you. He is a good man. I took a workshop from him when I first started to deal with my abuse. I have written to him twice and always he responds. I wish you well in your recovery.

I can speak it to, of what there is not resource and support in our country. It is place where still, even domestic abuses, they often are ignored and not prosecuted. To speak abuses such of this to boys, just it do not happen still yet. I thank this place also, and some certain persons here specialy who have been most kind with me.

Thank you for response. I would like to communicate with more survivors via the Internet, in the absense of real-life contact.

I have read the Mike Lew's book "Victims No Longer" and I think it is a very good resource for recovery of male survivors of sexual child abuse. Besides this book, I read only articles on male sexual victimization and the stories of the male surivors. I hope, though, that I shall once find a therapist or workshop in Russia.

You guys this is what MS is all about. Together we can offer each other love, support, understanding, and most importantlly to know you aint alone in this . Being alone is terriable here you know you can always come and talk to others that have been through the same kinda shit as you. I have always found it amazing how much love and support we can offer each other.

Thanks for your post. It has always been great to have you with us; you deal with things so honestly and bravely and I have always found it easy to talk to you.

I hope you get a chance to get to a recovery workshop or weekend sometime. It is a great thing to meet other survivors and see they are just regular guys, but guys who have had to meet a terrible and daunting challenge.

Nathan is so right when he comments on how this place shows us we are not alone. And so much else follows on from that realization, as you, me and others have found to our great blessing and advantage.
