television on the fritz

Well today my television decided to go on the fritz. The picture keeps flashing back and forth between normal and something that looks like an old negative with reverse colors. I tried everything. It seemed to be a trigger for me to feel angry about everything possible under the sun (I made a list in my journal) and I even threw the remote across the room in frustration. I realized that somewhere, deep in there, part of the trigger was feeling pressured by my emotionally abusive ex b.f. and perp to buy the set in the first place. It was expensive and I thought it should last longer than it has. Funny, how a piece of household equipment like that can be the source of anger about being raped.

1 + 2 does not always mean 3. If you like algebra, you could have fun with it by turning it around. A TV set is an inanimate object, has no emotions. So why let a box push you around emotionally. But if you throw some porn into the VCR and you get the same visuals, get a new set. The sales are coming up.
