Tarzan (yes, the Disney version)

Let me start by explaining that I have always been a HUGE fan of animated film. Over the years, I've developed a love/hate relationship with Disney, due to their insistence that animated stories necessitate sweeping musical interludes.
That said, the Disney version of Tarzan was one of the best movies of 1999 (in an incredibly strong year for movies, including the often overlooked "The Iron Giant"). And the strength of that actually comes from the songs that I am usually the first to blast.
Tarzan represents, to me, the best that Man has to offer. His intelligence and resourcefulness, his strength (of character, as well as body), and a desire to be the best that he can be. I admit that I've never read the original Burroughs story (though I have it around here somewhere).
The extra insight I have comes from the songs written by Phil Collins. I'll post those lyrics in the "Music" area.
If you've seen the movie, please tell me your thoughts on it, and if you haven't seen it, I encourage you to set aside your preconceptions of what a "Disney cartoon" is all about. Enjoy the ride!
