In addition to some personal trauma I really don't want to get into, I've got a surgical procedure today. This afternoon in fact. It should be no big deal, just a cyst removed, but I'm not in a good mental state and this is going to be hard to get through.

I wanted concious sedation, and now I'm glad I won't get it because I'm afraid of what'd happen if I flipped out under the influence. Especially with a scalpel to my neck.

Maybe a blessing in disguise if something DID happen. But no, I don't really feel like that. I want it all to go frigging away, but THAT isn't a solution.

*Sigh*

Man do I need a hug today.

figured you guys might want to know. The surgery went well, although it was a TAD more involved then I first thought it was going to be. The thing they took out was about the size of a nectarine pit, the surgical room smelled QUITE pleasant afterward, and there are joyful sounds you here when it comes to being awake during a procedure that I could've just as soon lived without  :D .

Now I'll have a purty little scar on my neck that I'll tell people was from a knife fight with a Thai Crime Lord over child slave trading. Hey, it IS what I do, but it loses some of its edge when you say it's on the 'net.

Thanks for the support. I appreciate it.

Love,

Scot

Who is, by the way, hurting like an SOB now that the novocaine's wearing off. :D

Scot - pleased it went well...Rik

(((((hugs)))))))

bravely done scot!

i had a biopsy once under local anesthetic -
they ripped a chunk of my thigh off
to do it - and i told the doctor off as he was doin' it! - he nearly crapped himself with laughter -

glad it's over for you and me!

Glad things went well for you buddy. Living down here, I've had so many "pre-cancerous" spots removed until parts of me look like I've been in contact with a panther. I still get scared everytime I go in to have one removed. I'm proud of you bud.

I love you, Bro.,

((((Scot)))))

I am glad it was good, and you are feelign good now. I know it is relief it is over. I have to go to doctor and have some tests again done today, and I am nervous of even that. I am glad this is all over for you.

(((((( Scot ))))))

I know the nervousness of having a cyst removed (my first one was off my spine shortly after my grandmother died of spinal cancer). Let alone the neck, that's probably one of the most nerve racking locations to have operated for most.

I'm glad everything went well.
