Hi Roscoe.

I have Mike Lew's book Victims No Longer.
It has been around for a long time but I still found it helpful.

I also like The Body Keeps the Score by
Bessel Van Der Kolk. It is newer and more focused on how the trauma effects people.

These are probably the two most well known books on abuse so you may already have them. But if not I would recommend them.

Yes, Roscoe, those 2 are pretty definitive works. I have them both and refer to them at least twice a month just for my own edification.

Judith Herman "Trauma and Recovery". It was considered a feminist work when it was written but it was considered "the" book on the subject at one time.
