"Success is the best revenge"
Just have reason to feel this true right now. Two students I have been working with had a competition this past week. One of them won, a wonderful thing, and I am so proud of him for that. The other had I think an even bigger victory, because it was a personal one. He was at this competition facing one of his abusers, a former coach. And he had a terrible time early in the competition, because this man still scares and intimidates him, and deliberately would do things to get in his line of vision, or to upset him as much as possible. And this young man managed to put all that out of his head and do a wonderful, amazing job, best of his career so far. He triumphed all as much as the winner of the competition.
I just feel I am childish enough to enjoy being a part of their success, especially at expense of an evil man who has caused much harm. Thank you for letting me share this here.
