I still can't bring myself to delete my dealers phone number from speed dial. How stupid is that?

Jay,

Just do it now then. These things take time and you can't be expected to work miracles on yourself, no matter how sensible they seem to be. You didn't get into drugs in a week or a month, and you won't get out that fast either.

Call on your real friends whenever you need them Jay. That is surely one way that will help you to break free and stay clean.

Much love,
Larry

Jay,

And notice I declined the opportunity to make a pun on the idea of having your dealer on "speed dial". :)

Much groaning,
Larry

PEOPLE, PLACES,& THINGS

Yes Larry.... speed dial.
For a while he lived in my building so all I had to do was walk (or crawl) upstairs :)
Then he moved out and that was a HUGE inconvenience for me! lol

Jay,

Moved out? What a bastard!!! ;)

Much sympathy,
Larry

yeah I know, he is a bastard! and I helped him move too... don't know what I was thinking! Or, yes I do, I help him move and I get a freebie.
Anyway, at least he's cool about me getting clean. He hasn't bothered me at all.

Jay,

I think I'd be just ornery enough to turn the bastard in. You might want to be prepared to move away tho...

Sorry, perhaps it was a bad suggestion...

Do what you need to do to take care of you, My Friend. Keep up the good work!

Lots of love,

John

Is your "dealer" also a friend. If ya like the person, its much harder to delete there number. I know the feeling though. Just to have that number there so in case if something happens and you need a fix, its there. Keep it there if its comforting, its OK as long as your not using that number. Eventually, you will have it in you to delete it. It sounds odd but it actually takes a lot of courage to press "erase" when your phone says "are you sure you want to erase 555-####". I've been there. Good luck my friend!

By the way, I must correct myself on the first sentence on my previous post. If the guy is your dealer then he probably isn't your friend. When I was clean, I hung out with my dealer about 4 years after he went to prison and I quit the hard shit. I turned out he was dealing again but I had no desire to do any of the shit. He offered me free coke like it was a favor, or, maybe just to get my ass caught in his talons like he had everyone else in. He put on a front to make himself look like a friend to all of his clientelle and in turn tried to make his dealing of coke and the horrid drug abuse of those around him look like a normal and acceptable means of living. What a crock of shit! On this token, I had realized that, for once, "I really didn't care to hang out with him anymore". He's a dumbass. Most drug dealers are! I will give it to them that they have some street smarts but they lack in everything else. Did you know statistically, studies have shown that about 90% of drug dealers still live with their parents no matter what age. That doesn't sound like something a "badass" drug dealer should be doing. Not that there is anything wrong with living with your parents for whatever reason but 90% is something to think about. Maybe they act tough to compensate for what they lack. I don't feel guilty for saying this, but, they suck at life! Douchebags!!! LOL! UH OH! I hope I don't have any scarface wannabe's coming after me. :D
I might have to give there mommas a call and tell them how bad there little boys are being.
