i feel bad for actors -

my haircutter said - his actor friends get no feedback when it is a no match -

it cuts them to the bone he said

i said - i found - coming into TO - a no one knows me -

i foudn that today - have to brand themselves -

like - a starbucks i think - you always know what you are going to get -

so they can look at your portfolio and say

ah! i can buy that - that style that look and feel -

some range of that!

i suggested i think actors are like that too -
to get in the door - you kind of have to brand yourself -

i suppose actors might have to work themselves into position of who they are vis a vis this character - rather than - be as simple - i dunno

it's all interpretative - how deep is your interpretation of looks and detail -

i have no idea - too hard to do -

i don't like looks -

Mark,

I always dislike the idea of fashion, since it seems to me I am being told that if I want to have real value as a person I should try to look younger, hunkier, thinner, taller, shorter, darker, lighter....but whatever it is....NOT me!

My solution is to teach in jeans and a Tshirt, but I know lots of guys in other lines of work can't get away with that.

Much love,
Larry
