My wife gave me a card for valentines, and signed it I love you, and I am proud of you. Just writing it makes me misty. No one has ever said they were proud of me before, and it makes me cry to hear it. it makes me cry because I wanted to hear it from my parents and didnt. It makes me cry because it means so much too me, and because it feels so good to hear.

Hey Phoster - I share in your happiness and good feeling!! You're a survivor and I want you to know how proud I am of the work you're doing on your recovery!!

If you haven't started one all ready, I would place that card as the first of many in "My Memory Box". This can be a shoe box, a small box or even an envelope. Everything I receive that's positive I place in my box. When the down times come, I rummage through the box remembering better times and that this time will pass.

Glad you have such a great wife!
