Seeking Justice

Below is a copy of a letter I sent to all members of the MN House of Reps. They voted 126-4 for the house version of the bill. The lang. in the bill was real week compared to the Senate bill. My computer was down the last 2 weeks so I haven't been here or at the MN Capital web site. I think the bill died in confernece committee. I would like to thank Thad for up dating the post on the Senate bill.

Also again I would like to thank Gary CDA for his help with writing this letter. In a way it is good that the bill died because a bill with weak lang. is no bill at all. This was the 1st of a 2 year session and we have all the same members of the 201 Club next year. They will have to listen to us again.

Seeking Justice

Be it one solitary act or an extensive history of manipulation and abuse, the resulting impact on the child is the same, theperpetratorsucceeds in stealing the childs innocence and their life. With adult trauma, the victim has an advantage since they have developed a substantial mental and physical skill set to assist them through the healing process. In regards to the child this is not the case since their development and vision of life has been distorted by an individual who, in most cases, was a trusted and respected adult.

As a community we have failed to understand the enormity of this evil and throughout history, societies response to the victims accusations has been self-defensive denial and dissociation. This reaction is common since the subject matter is delicate and the community is quite often unable to deal with it. Unfortunately, by closing their eyes to the truth they turn their back on the anger and pain of the child. If it takes a community to raise a child, it also takes a community to abuse one so that whenever a minor is sexually violated,
someones eyes are closed and a back is turned. In our opinion, this position is unacceptable and the time has come to listen to the victims and act in a manner that puts an end to the manipulation and abuse of children.

The victims of childhood sexual abuse have been the lasts to be protected by Society. The laws are stacked in favor of the perps. The sexual abuse of children is one degree short of murder. So much of our life is stolen away from us. We should have the opportunity to seek justice. Thank You Tom M

Muldoon,

What a powerful letter. With your permission I would like to froward it on to my attorney and the Wyomiong State Legislature.

With adult trauma, the victim has an advantage since they have developed a substantial mental and physical skill set to assist them through the healing process.
I must say that I disagree with one this statement. Since technically I was an adult when I was Raped by the minister at the Presbyterian church. I was going through a very rough time when I was raped. My parents had just found out that I was gay. While Yes I was physically 25 years old, mentally and emotionally I was probably 16 or 17. My perp say this and used it to manipulate me.

I hope that I am not critisized for what I am about to say. But it seems that because I was an adult that less importance is placed on my rape. If I had been a child then something might have been done, but because I was an adult NOTHING will be done.

Justice, What in Tarnation is that?

Justice in this country is lacking and is nothing but a joke when it comes to victims rights and how they feel about "The Crime" perpetrated upon them.Senators,Lawyers,Judges,Social service workers and last but not least The Pigs in Blue need an attitude adjustment when it comes to "Justice" , in this country the person is innocent until proven guilty however, the victim is looked at as guilty no matter what you ask why?

The reason why is due to the fact that the lawyers, judges, pigs in blue all think the victim wanted "it" and they were consenting to "The Abuse" this is plain Bushes baked balls on wheat,no victim sits there and says to the perp "Will you please Abuse me today" the government needs to get a handle on this otherwise there might just be old fashion justice without a trial,Guilty as charged by the people on the streets no judge to declare a mistrial or not guilty.

I have been down the road of so called "justice" with my perp and to some extent it worked however, justice was not what is portrayed in movies or on NYPD BLUE,if i had my choice justice would be swift and quick and there would not have to be a jury trial two years later after the person is detained. Those writing bills to go and be law need to remember this is not just a piece of paper, you are screwing with people's lives and you need to remember how the victim/survivor will feel later on after the prosecution when their personal information is laid out for the public to scrutinize and take cheap shots at.I know this very feeling because, i personally have gone down this route and for me i would take my perp out to "BFE" and take care of justice once and for all if left up to me but, that is living in a perfect world, possibly an icecap out in the middle of no mans land would do nicely and would take care of the public information disclosure of this survivors info without this survivors authorization.

Weak Legislation means these people don't care about victims and how they feel and their rights which is sad because "The Good Ole US OF A" is humping backwards when it comes to this type of legislation.

Muldoon,Keep working at it and maybe some day when someone who really cares about the constitution gets in office maybe then something will change but don't count on it until then.I look at victims rights just like the presidents speech of lowering taxes,a complete joke until i see otherwise on plain paper in black and white and it is actually signed into law and used in a court of law in the USA,until then it looks like i will be counting my chips.

Hey Matt you really struck a chord with me in your statement I feel the same anger at these low lives that get better treatment than we do.

I hope u at least made the perp pay a price for what he did to you ! They are just lowlife cowards who victimize those are are weakest in our society.

I' putting together a Confrontation letter for my perp sister who Physically and Sexually abused me . I'm going to post it here for all my brothers to see and the light of day to shine on her crimes.

I would love to get your opinion on it , it should be ready by this weekend .
Take care ,

Jack

PS : The letter is just the begining when I serve it to her I'm going to let her know there will be other consequenses as well.

God bless Muldoon. God bless your message.

JK, I completly understand every single word in your message, since I also hold great contempt for the same people plus the over-educated jackasses with a liberal arts degree who think they are God's gift to Freuadian science.
But in the end, I think the Muldoon approach will gain more.

EVERYBODY here, please pray for me to learn mercy and forgivness toward the unGodly bastards.

Addenum;
Once again, I goofed trying to follow who wrote what. I don't mean to leave out JK, but I meant to address Mattandrew.
While you are at it EVERYBODY, pray for me to improve my vision.

I think that I need to say something, with the general sentiment of this thread, while it may be true that childhood sexual abuse is more devastating than adult sexual abuse, it's also easier for society to accept a male child being victimized than a male adult because children are vulerable and helpless through no fault of their own. If an adult male is raped or sexually abused people see it as his own fault and are reluctant to address it as a problem because a full-grown male is expected to be invulnerable to such attacks.

You make a very important point Josh (SP).

We need to start realizing men for what they are: Human Beings. With the same fears, insecurities and vulnerabilities as women and children.

Marc

I think this is a very good thread. It helps me see that no matter what dont give up the fight. Brother's lets help Muldoon out, Muldoon the next letter you write post here and let us either respond to it or just simply put our "name" on it for you to send. We have over 1,000 people that are regesterd here. I live in Montana and a few weeks ago they showed on the news that a 65 year old man got 15 years, 13 of them supended for abuseing a 12 year old girl 7 years ago. How do they call this judtice? He is going to spend 2 years behind bars, and then he's free for the rest of his life. What about her? She has a life sentence because of what he did to her. Just 2 year's in jail, forget the fact it took them 7 years to hand that very harsh slap on the hand. I'm sick of hearing about perp's getting a slap on the hand, let's at least kick them in the balls. Muldoon for your next letter, please if you want to let me know I'll be glad to write something as to the affects that my childhood sexual abuse has had on me and my family (wife and kids). Muldoon thank you for devending your brother, thank you for not forgetting the survivor's that have not spoken up yet. Thank you for thinking of the victumes that have not come yet. Muldoon please let me know if I can help you with your battle in any way.
James

Muldoon:

Thank you so much for what you have done--bill or no bill!--on behalf of all your male survivor brothers! Your letter is too powerful & your work too persistent for them to continue to disregard.
As TomS & James indicate, you know there are many of us who will do what we can to get our voices behind yours and to use our voices wherever we are. Thanks again brother!

Matt:

Brother you sure have a way with words!
I love it!

Like Jack, I really resonate with so much of what you're saying about our criminal injustice system, which is in radical need of radical reform!

Chey:

If there are advantages for the one SA as an adult
there are certainly also disadvantages, as you & as SP points out. Bottom line like Marc says:

We need to start realizing men for what they are: Human Beings. With the same fears, insecurities and vulnerabilities as women and children.
Sadly, most people, especially those in power, will sooner acknowledge much less do anything about the SA of boys than of men.

Which doesn't mean we don't advocate for men SA as adults. Just means it's a tougher battle in the war against SA. But a winnable one.

Again, SA is not about age, gender, size, whatever
SA is about power, an imbalance of power used to very evil purposes. That is wrong, destructive, and must be stopped--period!

Muldoon I share the sentiments of my brothers above.
I would be honoured if you would let me use your letter in my ongoing dealings with the Ontario Government.

I will add my name anytime. If the others here would sign it along with you it would go a long long way with my Government.

And in a way no matter what government chooses to deal with it first it cannot but help us all because we can point to it as a start and pressure our own governments accordingly.

Your fellow pack memeber

Mike

Thanks for all your words of hope and the thought of action. Both my Perps are died and I will never be able to confront them in person. The more we talk about Sexual Abuse of Males the more the public begins to understand the EVIL that was done to us.

Anyone that wishes may copy and paste my letter and use it. I had lot's of help from Gary to put my ideas into words. At this point in our History it becomes a matter of protecting the furture victims of SA so they will have the weapons to fright back.
Noone cared what happened to us, but we now can begin to change the LAWS to help furture victims seek justice. Muldoon
