Lately I have been having nightmares, which is not unusual for me, I am used to them and I usually just go right back to sleep. But lately they have been getting worse and worse and they are not of what did happen but what my fears where that could have happened. Its gotten to the point where I guess i talk or yell or something b/c one of my brothers or sisters are always waking me up from them and asking what was going on.

i'm not quite sure on how to deal with this

Yeah my brother has been having nightmares schince he was about 8, and when i found out about what happened to him i think it may have triggered my nightmares ..
But yes the location is almost always the same

I know you might have trouble talking to your parents about this. But you really should talk to someone.

Is there anyone you would feel comfortable talking to?
A friend?
A trusted teacher?
A family friend?
An uncle?
Your brother(s) or sister(s)?
A priest or minster?
Your school counselor ?
A coach?
A neighbor?
A youth crisis hotline?

If you don't want to talk to anyone maybe you should keep a journal so you can put your thoughts down someplace in case you ever decide to say anything.

Good Luck.

Adam,
Besides seeking theraphy try something, what I call Changing the dream around, this involves stepping right back into your dream with awareness and filling your self with enough light and power to turn the dream around in your favour.

Another thing before going to sleep you can do a short prayer asking your guides to be with you thru the night, create your safe haven while you slip into sleep.

sweet dreams.

adam mynightmares got so bad that i did anything to stay awake ,which landed me in the hospital ,the doctors gave me sleep meds that really work my derams stopped for the first time in like 3 months, but of course to get them you would have to at least tell the doctors that you have nightmares , i didnt tell mine what the dreams were about only that they were nightmares and i was afraid to sleep .there are ways to stop the dreams ,but the doc says i cant take sleep meds forever . i know what its like to be afraid to sleep,it can get your body very rundown . hope you can get some sleep soon ,seems like the more i tried to stay awake the worse the dreams were when i did sleep . adam

Adam,

my take on nightmares is that they were just draining me away.
I could not sleep till dawn came, so it was grab a few hours.

The way I tackled nightmares was to scream in my head at them to go away, eventually it worked.

You are vulnerable in your sleep, that is how the mind works.
If you can find time to relax before bedtime, it sure can help.

If it persists, do as adam says and see a doc,

There have been a few threads here about nightmares, have a read back through them for advice.

Im wary of posting my advice for a variety or reasons, if you want to know the way I stoped my nightmare, PM me.

Dreams are nice sometimes but if the nightmares get in the way of sleep, get rid of them. Its possible.

Adam,

As Bill suggests, I think a major difficulty here is that you are all alone with your problems. That's a rough place to be anytime in one's life, but for a teenager I think it's especially grim.

If at all possible try to talk to someone safe, someone you really feel you can trust. That will be a good start in dealing with this issue and all the others as well.

Much love,
Larry
