SAVE THE RETREATS!!

SAVE THE RETREATS!!
Hi everybody,

For the first time in the two and a half years that MS has been offering retreats, we may have to cancel the next one or two because of insufficient numbers. In the past, we have twice held retreats with as few as 12 men but we are nowhere near that number for Atlanta and Canada. Whatever any of us could do to spread the word to our brother survivors, therapists, and other survivor websites would be greatly appreciated. Direct them to our website for more information about the upcoming retreats for 2004.

Thanks everyone and I look forward to eventually meeeting every one of you at a future retreat.

I just thought that I would post here to let you all know what I have been doing about that.

Howard Fradkin sent me a covering letter asking for help in letting the one in six of us here in canada know about the retreat in Paris Ontario.

I have sent it to every University and College Newspapers in Ontario and have included a bit about myself and where I can be contactec for information. Where possible I attached the PDF version of the brochure.

Then I went another step further. I sent the same stuff to The Toronto Start, The Toronto Sun and the Globe and Mail.

Finally I also sent it to https://www.camh.net/

Centre for Addiction & Mental Health (CAMH)
The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is a public hospital providing direct patient care for people with mental health and addiction problems. The Centre is also a research facility, an education and training institute and a community based organization providing health promotion and prevention services across the province of Ontario, Canada, and is a Pan American Health Organization and World Health Organization Collaborating Centre.

Now we will just see what happens. I am hopeful.
