I am putting an article here, and it really hits home about how we are prejudiced in life through abuse.

It show just how society is twisted in its views of the real problems that SA survivors face in a World that is in denial of the facts of issues surrounding those abused.

I am putting a Trigger warning, and I cannot see any triggers in the article, but the site may contain triggers, but it is well worth a read, and this woman is brilliant in the work she does to break the silence we have to live with.

You can find the page here

I know Shy quite well infact i spoke with her on the phone on friday. She is continually fighting prejudice and is a constant thorn in the side of sex offenders. Shys reason for being is as an advocate for survivors but due to lack of funding this side of work has had to cease but as she told me on Friday she is a survivor and Phoenix will get through this and hopefully funding will come about in the not too distant future. As I have often said us Brits have our heads in the sand with regard CSA and the recent appeal in the News of the world to help Pheonix stay open has once again fallen on deaf ears, this fact alone points to the fact that people do not want to hear about CSA, especially politicians as I was featured in a local newspaper (Shrewsbury Chronicle: page 2) which headline read "Abuse victim snubbed by Blunektt". David blunkett was at one time the British Home Secretary with whom I met and passed a letter during the run up to the last election. I cetainly know the frustration that Shy experiences. I will post the article in the World News section when I have typed it out as my scanner is now in the bin.

"Instigate change, as it appears it wont come naturally in our cause. Sometimes it needs a little forcing".

Kirk, please do post it, I wait with open ears.

Ask Shy to link her site to here, and vice versa, as Ken Singer is interested in linking.

I have emailed the request but not heard back yet.

On the issue of deaf ears, it does not surprise me, but to contact Charles Clarke, is like contacting Mr Magoo for driving lessons :D
