...Psychological Events?

Anyone here familiar with researcher Nancy Etcoff's published study of aphasics' unique ability to detect lies? What happened to me thru childhood mother/son incest caused "hypervigilance" according to the shrinks. And I agree there's that aspect. But that was 44 years ago and I still use what I call "touching without feeling" to access,interpret and control my environment.
Am I alone in this? Are there others out there who've lived thru horrific childhood sexual molestation/incest who've learned to not only sense what others cannot but to use the Thing successfully? I'm no shrink but it's my opinion the Thing stems from being a child,not knowing it's impossible to access the World in this mannor. And so,we do. The adults they have their structure,their clarity of purpose,their belief-systems and such. To people like me they are transparent. Our choice was stark reality or insanity. Life or death. Actors,we give them what they want to see. That seems to satiate them. Am I alone?

I was and sometimes still, familiar with
"touching without feeling" and my life in reality was the insanity of everyone, including me, acted as if not was wrong.
The pain also, just forget and get by,
as if nothing happen, and all my other feelings as if the weren't there.
Satiate me and satiate them right?

..does it switch back and forth,their World and your's? You know,becomming temporarily what's expected so as to "get along". This makes them happy,hopefully. They'll make their assumptions,go on their way. And you don't have to bother with them anymore. They'll never understand. You know that. So,always this confrontation. They're there in their reality,you're here in your's. And never the twain shall meet. Like,oh yeah I'm really going to tell some dorkwad that I was involved in incest with my mother. He'll want to buy the video. It's his illusion vs my reality. And never the twain shall meet..
