Prostate Cancer

Prostate Cancer
TJ, this is the first I'm seeing this. How bloody devastating to learn about this latest, glum health issue. I feel true compassion for you, and your family. I've read through this post, and it looks like things have finally started happening, and things are finally getting done to help you.

And now today's news; I'm reading this correctly, that "negative" is a good thing, right? It hasn't spread elsewhere? Jumping for joy for you if that's the case. So the removal should get the cancer out of you, I'm hoping and praying,

Positive thoughts, energy and prayers winging their way to you, my friend!

🫂🙏🌅

@TJ jeff - I just wanted to reach out and offer a big ass virtual hug! I'm so sorry to hear this news. I truly hope the best possible outcome for you and yours. I appreciate the friendship you've offered freely.. I want to extend the same. Take gentle care.

Peace, Love, and Boogie Boards

@TJ jeff, that’s very encouraging news from your latest scans. Continuing the prayers and positive energy your way. That certainly makes thing a lot less complicated. Thanks for the updates!

@Shyshark, sending positive thoughts and prayers your way as well. Hoping for the best possible outcome on your surgery. Please take care!

Huge Update! - the surgery to remove my prostate is scheduled for the 17th (next Monday) - I have a crazy amount of stuff to get done before then - I'm still trying to wrap my head around how fast things are moving - just last Thursday I was told that I probably would not get a surgery until late July or August or maybe even September

great news.....anytime I had surgery scheduled I cooked enough to get me thru a week of recovery so I wasn't standing in the kitchen for hours and made sure everything I needed was in the house before hand

Hooray, that's fantastic, TJ!!! It's sort of odd to celebrate someone who is about to go under the knife, but in this case, it's definitely a good thing. Sending positive thoughts, energy and well-wishes your way!

Surgery is tomorrow - I'm trying my best to remain calm - never been overnight in the hospital before (and they are saying I'll have to stay at least 2 nights) - being that out of control of my own body is going to be a huge challenge for me - I'll have a catheter in for at least 2 weeks post surgery - and be out of work for at least 6 weeks

I'm not sure how much I'll be able to get on the site for a few days but I'll do my best to update when I can

For my friends who pray - please pray that the surgeon gets all of the cancer cells out no matter how much he has to take out beyond the prostate, seminal vesicles, and lymph nodes - he's doing the surgery the "old fashioned way" (open retropubic radical prostatectomy instead of the robotic prostatectomy) because he says he has more "feel" to be able to get all the cancer out - I pray that is true...

@TJ jeff, my prayers will be with you and the surgeon. I can respect many of your concerns.
I think you have done amazing job preparing for this and we are all on your side!
Take care of yourself!

I understand your feelings. I have been praying for you and certainly will continue to do so. Take care.

Yes, TJ - Hope and pray he gets it ALL out!
You have a lot of people thinking about you for the next 48 hours.
Godspeed!
