Now that my head is starting to get back to normal (whatever that is)after the court case, I've decided to overhaul my house.

I'm decorating, changing the layout & am getting a dining set delivered on friday.

My pool table is going to a new home in my friend's garage - his 3 children, can safely play on it during the summer.

I'm being quite ruthless in what I throw out!

I had all sorts of stuff under the pool table that had accumulated. I've been to the tip 3 times today.

The last thing that I found under the pool table was a small bag with close to 100 Sympathy Cards in it. They were from when my dad died of Alzheimers around 16 years ago. I don't know how they came to be where they were.

I read all of the letter's, and it was a bit upsetting. I couldn't think whether to keep them, or to continue being ruthless and throw them out. I never mourned him when he died, because that was a period where I just blanked myself off from any pain (a 3 decade period)! I have often felt guilty about that.

I'm taking it as a sign to let go! I've cut a few of the cards up to make bookmarks - gothic crosses fit my style well.

Time to move on, and leave the sad days behind. Time to think positively and look after myself. Time to think of the future, and maybe plan things for the first time ever, rather than just letting life happen all around me!

Finding the cards just reminded me of the progress I've made over the last few years.

Yes - I think that I am now ready to live!

*Don't think I'll ever leave here though!

Best wishes ...Rik

Thanks for the happy cry, I needed that...
Good to see you moving on, Tom

Rik,

sounds like a renewal.
When you throw all that stuff out, you will find a use for most of it, believe me,

Rik,

This is the part I liked best:

Time to think of the future, and maybe plan things for the first time ever, rather than just letting life happen all around me!
That's another way of saying I have things to live for, now I am going after them.

Good for you!

Much love,
Larry

Thanks Rik,

I hope to make a post like this in the near future.
