Hi This is my first post on here. I want some advise. When I was 9 i was abused by the prioest that has just been sent to jail. I have not told the police or anything but now it has came to light that he admitted that he had abused boys before he came to where I lived then done it again. What shall I do?

Welcome to MS. I disclosed to the police and when that became public knowledge the police were inundated with other survivors saying that he had abused them also. I dont give advice usually but personally I would contact the police as disclosure is the first step on the road to healing, what will happen if you do disclose I cannot say but do this for you, you deserve it. I read the report of the Ampleforth priest as has Lloydy on this site and that can be seen in the US and world news section. BTW my abuser was Jonathan King. PM me if you wish to go into this a little more deeper.

Philip - can't tell you what to do! I also live in the UK, & was abused way back in 1969. It was not clergy related, just the local perv.

I remained silent for many years & finally told the Police nearly 1 year ago. They have been very supportive (as everyone else has been - am I just lucky? I don't know).

Your Priest is in jail - it's up to you to decide if you want to add another case (everyone knows what he is now)against him. It is what you think, what you want to do that matters. Whatever you decide, there will be much support for you here.
