Post Traumatic Stress Nam vets

Anyone here recall the early 1980s when Hollywood pumped out movie after movie depicting Vietnam veterans afflicted with PTSD? For awhile during this period no-one wanted to hire nam vets because of this perception. It's been downplayed now and in fact my best friend is a nam vet police detective specializing in sex crimes against children. But I thought of it last night reading at a website that "57% of sexually abused children grow up to become molesters". That's the biggest load of bullshit I've ever seen. What are we,frigging insects with some sort of wierd hive mentality bereft of independent conceptualization? Monkey see monkey do? My bet is it's less than 1% who grow up to become molesters. If you've been horrifically raped as a child you have all the reason in the world NOT to do that to other children after you become an adult. I got shot with a .22 when I was 15 years old. It hurt like hell. I've got a .22 rifle now. And there's no way on God's green earth that I'll shoot someone with it because I know from personal experience how much it hurts.
I'm not gonna screw any kids either and all the "experts" out there who say I will can suck my ass till Hell freezes!
