I want to be in this show NEXT YEAR!!!!(there are male roles)

:)

ok - the International Aids Conference is in town

majore politicos et al are here -

Tonight I went to a drag show -

the DA or something of Toronto - fundraiser for Casey House -

they've raised 850k so far since 1990
or so

---
I walked by Hart House yesterday and met some drag queens
i took a photo and then they invited me back to a show tonight - i went to their show tnoight
it was an event for AIDS
the show was called Lucky Lady or something -
and and a big fat very sweet and clunky drag queen -
very funny drag queen
was doing a highlighted moment in a scene -

being very over the top dramatic -
and she slipped in something on the stage in a big number
'her' heel then broke
and she fell on her ass adn was totally caught off guard -

and every one looked at her - and she laughed and
and as this all happened her boob stuffing
fell out onto the stage too !!!!

LOL
and she had to stuff it back IN!!!!
the show "stopped!"
it was so funny
EVEN the other actors
had to duck their
heads in their hands in self control

it was very funny - and the scene was
extemperized (?)
to include the funny moment -

so great

i don't want to offend people but one of the more bizarre but funny lines in the show was

as one drag queen said to another -
"If you want sympathy honey ... look in the Dictionary, you'll find it ...
between SHIT and SUICIDE!"

OMG -

ouch!

bitterness for all!

in the show it was very funny -

outside of it - truly - it's not a maxxim to live -by

though we may feel it as such -
- but

it ain't so

I have photos of drag queens for anyone who wants them - 5 cents each!

:)

one looked a dead ringer for Elaine Paige

another was Anne Margaret -

another just called "herself" 'bubbles'

I said 'that reminds me of the gum bubblicious'
she said - 'oh that goes without saying!"
:)

It's funny - I don't go for dressing in drag myself - but

I love warm happy people - the night was just so good.

People laughing - and happy to be themselves and raise money for a good cause.

This is what matters to me - 'drag' is not me -
but good warm happy people - who know how to toss off a joke - and or poke a little healthy fun at themselves is fun -

no one was degraded - I dunno - it just felt
like adult 'family.' all types were there - the whole gammet of human lives - !

make sense?
