On a happier note....Happy thread

I recently got job in Hiroshima. It a real great chance for me and my future and to say I am in a good mood is putting it mildly.

Anyway, I walked around the Atomic Bomb dome and peace park and contemplated 200'000 lives extinquished at the flick of a switch.

That made my problems seem quite small, so many lives affected in such a short time. I found that quite humbling.

Reading about the people who lived, who survived the initial blast is worse than the figures concerning those who died, WOW it blew me away.

Anyway, big up myself for getting a great job and remember Hiroshima. Think it through.

It made me feel a little more focused on the xtent of my problems. I have a job, a nice partner, relative health and a load of baggage from my childhood. So life aint that bad!

:D :D :D

Anyone got any happy thoughts?

;)

Japanzen,

It's good to have things put into perspective from time to time. Most of us have so much to be thankful for. We just have to remember that what was done to us years ago doesn't define us.

I think that for every wounded person his or her own hurt is unique and special. That is as it should be. But while honoring my own situation and remaining committed to dealing with it, it is useful to me to think of the many catastrophes from which I HAVE been spared.

Thanks for this.

Much love,
Larry
