Okay, almost time finally!!!
I am beginning to think it is harder on me to be a coach then a competitor!! Over last weekend, I had a junior student who competed at a rather large competition (and finished second, which I am SO proud of!!!) I have been working more with him this week, but also working with another student, a year older who competes as a senior, who has a competition THIS weekend. Starting today. In, hm, half hour, in fact!!!
It is so strange to me, perhaps just because I am still new at coaching. But to have two different students, different skill levels, to prepare them both for two different competitions (in two different countries, no less!) within a week, has been WILD to me! I mean, no two people do you relate with the same. No two people do you work with or motivate the same. It is a different training method with everyone, as all are individuals. But to have both of them having to prepare for such big challenges, so close together, I have been pulling my hair out! At least they are close in age (18 and 19), rather then one being 19 and the other being 10! I think that would be too much for me, to have to 'shift gears' so drastic as that!
Anyway, I was pacing around and really annoying my student who is competing this afternoon. Annoying your student, I am learning from this side of the process, is not a good thing! So, I found a 'pllugin' and got online for a while!
But, now is time to go! Hope all have a good day!
