Hi everyone

I am going to try to do a better job of posting on the board.

Things have not been going at all well at all with my battle with the church. I will try to post more on that later. What I will say now is that the churchs attorney is playing LEGAL MIND GAMES

What I am here about tonight is what I am facing the first thing in the morning.

I have a 7:30 eye appointment.

Ted, my first perpitrator, was an opthomologist and he used to fondle me durring my eye exams. I am freaking out already about the eye exam. I am having flashbacks.

I need new glasses and I know the only way to get them is to have the exam. I just don't know if I can go through with the exam.

I'll keep everyone posted as to what happens

Missed you my friend. Sorry your case is going so poorly and the church attorney and church leaders are being so uncooperative & uncaring.

Hope your exam went ok if you went. If not as Why Me said there will be other times.

Do try to bare in mind that your new opthomologist is not your perp. I know that is of little help be due try to keep that in mind. Cna you have a friend go with you to the appointment. Tell the opthomologist you dont want to be alone with him and he can have one of his nurses or assistants stay in the room with you at all times.

Thanks everyone. I did go to the exam. I had told my Opthomologist about being molested when I was younger by Ted ( my first Perp). I did pretty good. I did have a hard time with some of the exam because instead of looking up, down right, left, I was watching the doctors hands to see where they were. I knew he wouldn't touch me but still the thoughts were there.

Actually, what has been worse is this afternoon. The flashbacks have been there all afternoon. The memories of me sitting in the chair silently and letting Ted fondle me while he made me stare into the bright light.

One thing though that this did convince me I want to do it to call another retired opthomologist in town.

This opthomologist was in practice with Ted 25 years ago. It was a partnership with Ted and two other doctors.

To make a long story short The partnership broke up because of Rumors. I think you all can guess what the rumors were.

Any way I am going to ask this other doctor if the rumors were true. I think I know him well enought that he will give me a straight answer if the reason the partnership broke up was because Ted had been accused of molesting a young black male patient.

Hey John, we really do need to hear from you more often, and I think you need to be with us--we are really nice guys know.

I can't imagine what a stressful situation it was to go to the doc. I d forget who said it, but the idea of a woman physician is good. Two of my docs are female and I like them alot and they are both top notch docs.

You are a big man, a really big man I am told. Today all you would have to do is inform the gentleman that he is putting himself in very great danger and then leave his office. Not good if he has a hole in our tooth or something, but we can make it real clear that we will not tolerate him violating our person.

Those flashbacks have to be really awful. I think all you can do it hope they go away soon.
