I happened to stumble across a new film about CSA which is due for release any moment now, it is entitled "CLOSURE" and has been written by a guy named Douglas Downing III.

Plot Outline:
For the average twenty-year-old college male, "Spring Break" is a time to "cut it loose" and "get wild". No matter what the destination is, heavy drinking and plenty of irresponsible behaviors are on the horizon, but not for "LUKE WISER" our twenty-year-old main character. For Luke he will spend "Spring Break" driving to his hometown to confront the man that sexually abused him as a child. END

They don't give a release date, but I would like to see it, I see a lot of my story in it, trickery, grooming, etc.

When I saw that little boy in the room with him, it was just like my situation, total trust you know? Yeah, major triggers.
 
all i had to see was that guy punching that kid and i stopped watching ,i think these kind of movies are really great for people who have not been abused but most of them wouldnt be interested .
 
I'd like to hear about release dates, etc. I couldn't find anything on the web beyond the Myspace page when I first read this thread. I found the trailers, but I decided not to watch them. (My T had to cancel my appointment last week, so I'll hold off on trying to watch them till I'm going to see her.)

Any chance of doing some cross promotion with the upcoming MS Conference?

it might be a good movie but its not real you know?you can not act abuse, i watched the trailer and yes it triggered me ,but when the man is punching the kid at the begining ,you can not act that ,the look on his face is not right,only an insane person can have the look that my abuser had ,they cant show how hitting made him more and more aroused ,or how it builds the hitting and choking getting worse and worse as he got closer to his climax,can they show the kids thoughts? the fear that this time he just might kill me before he finishes. i'm not ragging on the movie ,i think it can help lots of people understand abuse ,but a movie can never mirror the true horror we suffered. i hope lots of normals see it but do you think they will? will they be interested in it anymore than they are interested in what happens two doors down the street?
