Obi - very good designs. i agree with the suggestions to delete the word, "wear."

one more suggestion - make the word, "Myths" larger or more prominent. especially on the darker grey background, it is easy to overlook - and therefore the message becomes the opposite of what is intended!

keep up the good work!

Victor - I have the sword going down for placement on the shirt. It will make it look balanced. Plus, most often when a person looks at a logo, the first area they look at is the left chest area, which is where you want the word victor to shine the most.

however, with the tattoo I will create the artwork specifically for you that would have it going up instead.

Lee - thanks. I was thinking the same thing and will probably make some adjustments on the word myths as well.

here is an updated version...

It's awesome you're creating this project to provide solidarity to our brethren and enlighten the poor masses. But, it's little too much testosterone for me. Not that I don't like the Game of Thrones/Sons of Anarchy vibe. I dunno... maybe if you put something fluffy or magical on it. When i see a guy with a picture of a sword on his shirt, my first reaction would be "biker guy" or "violent/danger"... Maybe if you had like a belt design on the bottom (a picture of belt) or one of those utility thingies that you kinda strap on diagonally across your chest? Ya know the ones with those button pockets? Why it gotta be badass? Or can you make a shirt design with less testosterone - for the gays, and Canadians?

most of my gay canadian friends are more macho than i am :)
but i do think a second, more gentle design without weapons, might be wise.
that would offer some choice to those survivors who do not identify with warrior symbolism.
i love the sword of victory concept and i really connect with the image, but i am only one customer with bizarre taste and a violent history of abuse.

Hi Obi

love the sword design and the whole sons of anchovy deal.

Agree with the comments about the word Myths I didn't pick up on it first time, but I'm not sure how you would portray the word "Victor" without some sort of macho type image, mind you that's probably why I'd be no good in your line of work Obi :)

to let everyone know that my original plan was to do just a few items at the start. just an embroidered polo, embroidered hat and one screen-printed t-shirt at the start. in the business i am in, if you are starting something, like what i'm doing, you start off small and only giving a few choices. that way you can get a better idea of how things are going to go. later on you can add other items, other design ideas and so on.

i like the ideas that were coming to me, and i was thinking of possibly doing them at a later time....

i got as far as creating an embroidered logo, and also have sewn out a sample of it. i need to do some editing to it, but i'm not sure it's necessary to do so now...

i really want to continue this project, but i've received so many negative responses that i'm not sure i should... just don't want to hurt anyone.

Hi Obi ...

Have you ever thought of showing these to tattoo artists?

Now ...
The "Get Educated" one is a very bad idea ... in my opinion.
I had to look at it closely to realize that the message was meant to convey how untrue the statements were ...
as it is it could easily be misinterpreted to mean that is what you believe.

The wearer could be confronted by an asshole that believes that stuff and wants to reinforce the message ...
or a survivor or supporter could punch your face off.

:P

No worries about it shyshark. Not going to do anything with it. I think it is just safer if I drop the idea all together.

if you find a suitable charity, like raising money for the ms website or some other organisation, i think, you might have a chance to sell some,, but also not so much a logo, but a design that birngs attention, like on the front, "1 in 4"
and on the back 'stop csa" that might be something, just an idea, i have some design experience so i can help you out with that
cheers

sorry, but i can't.

when i have had some survivors here telling me it's a bad idea and/or it'll never work... well.... i figured that if i can't even get the full support of the guys here then how in the world will i be able to promote truths to our struggles as survivors to the rest of the world to hopefully understand?.?.?

so, i've made the decision to not go through with it.

the last thing i want to do is hurt fellow survivors by putting this out there and apparently that is what would've happened.

hi
winter-rain here
wearing a tshirt is apersonal choice, you might get people who arent even survivors or may be realtives friends, i mean it would be at the discretion of the person that wears it, i know i would wear one in the house and may be outside the house, that why i dont like the idea of putting survivour on the front, yknow we are in the age of trying to revolutionise society to a more engaging and affirmative direction, thats why i say put
1 in 4
on the front
and the name of the benafactor, like "support MS" on the back
and so on
i think it could be really good
if you need me i would like to help out
bye
