I just want peace
is that too much to ask?
I just want silence
to put and end to the past

I just want quiet
for my head to calm
I just want love
for me and those around

I just want justice
and for truth to be held
by all of those
who hide in their shell

I just want my family to understand
that my pain isn't their pain
that i must fight it alone

I just want those
who took my innocence
to pay with their lives
and suffer in every sense

I just want my family
to understand
that when I cry
I don't need a hand
what I need is silence
and maybe a hug
but not a word to be spoken
except by chance
maybe a "daddy, I love you"
or a "honey, I know"
thats all I need
for my feelings to show

its not too much to ask, and it can be yours, and yeah, all my feelings ever want is to be heard, to be acknowledged, they dont need to be *fixed*
