Mike has posted his story in the Survivors Story Forum and a couple of guys replied there.

We want to keep this forum free of replies so that someone can just express their feelings through their own personal story without the pressure of any responses.
The other reason is to keep discussions on the discussion forums.

This is the note at the top of the Stories Forum.
Notice: If you wish to edit your story after you have posted it please contact one of the moderators. Replies to stories posted here are not permitted. If you want to reply to the author of a story please post your reply in another forum.
So I've just moved the two replies here, and I apologise for having to post them under my name but I had to cut and paste them.

I'm sure other people will want to join Sleepy, Sick Puppy and myself in expressing our support for Mike, and to thank him for trusting us with his moving story.

Mike,
It took a lot of courage to post that and I admire you for doing so. I felt for you as I read it but I am so thankful that we were able to cross paths and help each other heal. Take care my brother.

Mike, I am very sorry you had to go through that. I can relate a lot. As a child I was prostituted involuntarily and then from ages 14-22 I chose it as a path to take. It was an easy way to get money. I have also had extensive experience with heroin so I know where you are coming from.

I am glad you were able to post this story. While the stories are always sad, it gives me hope to see that people are willing to share them and move forward in healing. I wish the best of luck to you, and to our brother Al as well.

Oops. I'm sorry. I usually look at posts through the "recent posts" feature and did not realize what forum it was in. :o Sorry.

It's no problem ;)

Mike,

Writing your story and facing it head on shows how strong you are. Keep kealing. Keep walking your path.

The way you were treated fills me with outrage.

The way you have endured fills me with awe.
Keep going, brother.
