My second T session

I wet to my second T session yesterday. Looks like it's going to work out fine with this T. I liked the session and I feel comfortable with him. I asked him questions about his background and experience and he seems like he is well prepared to help me.

I also explained to him that I've had my share of bad therapy sessions, and explained to him the things I find inappropriate in a T. We came to agreements regarding how the T should go so I feel safe and comfortable, and how he can point out things to me.

I am hopeful this will work. I guess I'll keep you all posted.

David,

I am glad this went so well. It is great to be able to express yourself with your T and the experiences you've had with others.

Keep on doing what you're doing. Sounds great.

Well I just had my 3rd T session. It was good. I think I'm sticking with this T. Seems to know what he's doing and I feel comfortable with him. Still don't feel comfortable enough to talk about all the "juicy" stuff. We'll get there, hopefully.

I always struggled with therapy but made a heck of a lot of progress in it. It was hard for me to be with someone and focus on my needs. Often I would leave therapy exhausted and later I realized that was when I made some of the most progress. And when I really could see myself taking a major step in a therapy session, there was a Swenson's Ice Cream place just down the road which I would treat myself to. It is amazing because the two therapists that I have had were located close to a Swenson's.

Obviously, progress is dependant upon proper ice cream consumption. This is one of those rare moments of enlightenment that truely lifts the spirits. I'm on my way to the grocery store right now.

Seriously, could ice cream be a positive trigger?
