My participation at the Voices Conference

A couple of years ago I did a workshop at the Voices Conference on "relaxation in healing". It went over very well and they have been trying to get me back to do it again. Well, this year I am attending the conference and will be doing the workshop twice during the conference.
The workshop is designed to give people a good break from all of the difficult issues which may come up during the conference and just allow people to relax a little. But also by doing this, my goal is to help show people not only how important relaxation is but just how simple it is to add it to our daily lives. It is something we all would probably agree that we need to do, but sometimes it is harder to do it than is needed and so through the workshop, I hope to give some insight into relaxation.
So I'm a happy camper (a little nervous right now) but also I realize that I have a lot more tools in my tool box for this workshop than I had a couple of years ago. I just have to decide which tools I will pull out of my toolbox. But I am so looking forward to it.
Than the next thing I have been trying to set up is doing chair massage at the conference. This will be my first major time I have done chair massage around survivors and so it will probably be a learning experience for me. I hope though that the participants will be able to trust me enough to experience a chair massage. I know it will be difficult for some but maybe it will end up being a growing and healing process for everyone that comes there. This is the direction I want to take my massage therapy and so what better time to start than now.
The only thing that was frustrating me on this was that I had to find a massage chair in Minneapolis because it would just be too difficult and expensive to get my chair up there. I've been getting no answer from every contact I could find in Minneapolis until the other night when I received a voice mail message. It looks like things are coming together for this and I really hope they are.
This has been a very big week for me in many ways. The business really took off this week and I will have had one of the best weeks financially that I have had since I started it. On top of it, I went through the body memory processing that I wrote about the other day as well. And then this stuff is coming together for the conference.
I keep uttering the words to myself to "trust the universe" and when I do that, things happen that I don't think have a chance of taking place.
All of this does give me a big smile and makes me feel warm inside.
