I've been wondering what you've been up to....

This is an inspiring act of courage!

You are gonna be awesome!!!!

Curtis,

This is a great thing that you're doing. You're speaking for those who cannot. Society needs to see that we're real, males do suffer abuse. Thanks for speaking up. Please do let us know how it goes.

Well I did it.

So far the feedback has been wonderful. And although it was my first time out and I felt a little awkward I think I did ok. I was actually more nervous speaking at the conference than I was in court.

What was interesting is that two TV news stations showed up because of who my abuser was, so the interviews gave the conference a stronger voice and us an opportunity to plug MS (me as a member and John Crowe as a board member). I was told that there had never been news coverage of the conference in the past.

If all goes well I'll get the chance to do this sort of thing over and over, it helps me as much as it helps others.

Thanks for all the support you guys, I dont think I could have done it without you.

Roland/Curtis

Congratulations! I'm glad it was an experience you wish to repeat.

Two TV stations, there for the first time, I can see how you might have been nervous, but it's good that they came.

naw, the TV part is easy cuz it's one guy.

the hard part was the talk itself with 40 pairs of eyes.
