Just now seeing this Silly, I would venture to say it is a very rare thing for many of us to be able to say we have a friend from first grade that we saw just last week and are still buddies with, it speaks volumes to the man and kind of friend you are and to those who know you here Silly no one would be surprised by this your a good man a loyal friend, so sorry for this loss.

To all: thank you so much for your kind words and thoughts. It really means a lot. I took a long walk yesterday to process and reflect... I had a good cry on top of a mountain.

I just got word that my best friend has passed away. We'd been besties since first grade (he lived a little ways down my street). He and I had many adventures, played in bands together... just all the sort of things that make a friendship great. It was just a few weeks ago that I learned he had cancer. In fact I saw him last Saturday at out local tavern and we shared some old stories and enjoyed just hanging out for a few hours. This is gonna hurt... I'm kinda numb at the moment.

I am very sorry for loss friend.

Sorry for your loss. I know the feeling. My one and only friend passed in January 2025. He was the Vinny the jet Rodriguez to my Scott Smalls (The sandlot). I probably never come out of the shell if not for him.
