Music dealing with sexual abuse

Are there any popular songs that deal with sexual abuse?

I know there are alot of esoteric songs that could mean sexual abuse.

Pearl Jam seems to write about it in 'I got Id'.

That's the kind I like. Not upfront but subtle in a way that makes only victims understand. Like a message to them.

I cant think of any others.

To me, some of Tom Petty's songs sound like survivor songs. Especially "I wont back down"

If Linkin Park lyrics were not written by a survivor, then none are. Pat Benatar, Lasgo, there are so many. Look back at my old posts of lyrics at this board. At one point or another, I felt these somehow were written by, for, about survivors of SA.

There are some songs by the band Tool that may or may not deal with it. Their lyrics tend to be very vague.

There is also a band called Boy Sets Fire. I have their album "The Day the Sun Went Out" and a lot of the songs on there seem to be about abuse. The rest are political. The song "Swingset" is definitely about abuse, but the others a little more vauge.

I don't know if this is any of your styles of music, though.

Staind is a great band, with lyrics capturing "our" feelings very nicely.
